Doing something incorrectly.
« on: November 23, 2009, 07:42:38 PM »
I thought that I would figure this problem out on my own, but after a week of trying, I am breaking down and asking for an assist.
1.On the MILSketch program, no matter what I try, any units I create show up in the symbol designer as a solid colored box in whatever color I am trying to make the (middle) symbol.
  2. If I proceed anyway, and click the "create selection" radio button, the selection that actually appears on the map is a giant BLACK box, regardless of color choice in #1 above.
I have removed all back images, have tried different and various unit symbols, etc...nothing changes the final output.
Lines, etc, do work. Not the units however.
Thank you for any help

My apologies for taking so much time to check back here. I have repaired the problem, however, but I thank you for the reply. I am still unsure what it was that caused it as I checked nearly everything I could imagine...however, I fell back upon the old adage "when all else fails, reinstall" and now, it works brilliantly. A great piece of software.
The only bit of "AAR" regarding this issue that I believe MAY help anyone else who has it, (besides the reinstall) is that my monitors resolution and color settings may have not been correct, as for some reason the color was on 16 bit. However, I did not notice this until after I reinstalled, and before I re-tested, so I am unsure whether or not it was the issue.
Anyway, thanks again for the great product. Battle Command also seems very intriguing.
